Macau Ricci Institute Journal is now officially accepting paper submissions!
We invite experts and scholars from around the globe to contribute their insights and research. This is an excellent opportunity to share your work with a diverse audience and foster meaningful dialogue in your field.
Submission Guidelines
The Macau Ricci Institute Journal aims to publish interdisciplinary research that explores social innovation, moral leadership, and comparative spirituality. We welcome a diverse range of submissions, including academic papers, research papers, and academic essays. Type of submissions
- English Paper Submissions
- Word Count: An English paper between 2000-3000 words in length (excluding citations and notes)
- Cite references: APA (American Psychological Association)
- Submissions must include an English abstract, keywords, and notes, tables and figures (if applicable).
- Chinese Paper Submissions
- Word Count: A Chinese paper 6000-8000 words in length (excluding citations and notes)
- Cite references: APA (American Psychological Association)
- Submissions must include a Chinese abstract, keywords, and notes, tables and figures (if applicable).
*For citation formatting, we adhere to the 2020 edition (7th edition) of the APA Publication Manual. Chinese manuscripts will follow the basic APA format as closely as possible. For inquiries, please contact mrijournal@riccimac.org.
Submission Requirements
- Manuscripts must be submitted as complete, clear, and definitive digital files to mrijournal@riccimac.org, including the author's name, title or academic background, phone number, and email address. The order of authors should be as indicated in the submitted manuscript, and the authors bear full responsibility for the content.
- Submissions must include a title, subtitle (if applicable), abstract, and keywords. Manuscripts lacking any of these components will be returned for resubmission.
- Image files should be submitted in a separate folder, clearly labeled with descriptions, serial numbers, and sources. If tables are submitted as images, please adhere to the aforementioned requirements.
- For formatting and citation standards, please refer to the APA (American Psychological Association) guidelines.
- The content of the submitted manuscripts, including cited literature, images, and charts that involve third-party copyright, must not violate others' copyright or rights and must grant permission for the journal's use. Authors are fully responsible for any infringement.
Editorial and Journal Policies
To ensure academic standards and enhance scholarly quality, submitted manuscripts must meet the following criteria and will be reviewed by experts in the field:
- The manuscript's subject matter must align with one or more of the journal's core themes.
- The manuscript should present clear and logical arguments that are easy to understand; all supporting experimental data must be based on clearly defined and standard research methodologies
- The format must conform to current standards for written English or Chinese, with a clear and concise structure.
- Manuscripts must be original works of the authors; any copyright infringement will result in full responsibility and compensation for any losses incurred.
- The journal does not accept submissions that are submitted to multiple publications simultaneously. If a manuscript needs to be withdrawn after submission or is submitted elsewhere after receiving a notice from this journal, the author must inform the MRI journal. Any instances of simultaneous submissions will be the author's responsibility.
Editorial Procedure
After review, authors will receive preliminary feedback from the editorial team as follows:
- **Accepted**: The manuscript is accepted for publication, possibly with minor revision suggestions from the editorial team.
- **Rejected**: The manuscript does not meet submission standards and will include reasons provided by the editorial team.
- **Accepted with Revisions**: The manuscript is accepted but requires modifications due to structural or formatting issues. The editorial team will provide suggestions, and the author must revise the paper and resubmit by the deadline.
Additional Information
- All submissions enter an anonymous review process upon receipt, and no submissions will be returned.
- The editorial board reserves the right to make textual and visual modifications or deletions to accepted manuscripts.
- The Macau Ricci Institute retains the right to reproduce, reprint, translate, compile, and publish any articles in both physical and electronic formats on its website and that of its designated partners.
